but sacred
a guide through
the darkness
pain itself
brings.

It takes more
courage to go
where it takes
you than to
fight against it.

Pain
comes as a friend
a fellow-traveler,
its enemy
the sole idea
that it is a false
prophet rather
than the one
crying in
the wilderness.
