Lovin' on Jamie

Since Jamie designed this to be a "team member" accessible blog, but only a handful besides St Jamie ever take advantage of posting, I though I'd make Jamie's day...hopefully..

All you team members, and anyone reading this, choose one of the following options for blessing the Jamie:

1)post a limmerick, or haiku on the theme of what you appreciate about her.

2)post the above...but use it to tell an embarrassing story/inhouse joke about her (you reading, Sara, Craig et al?)

3)Tell us something cool about her that the rest of us may not know

4)Roast her in a Spanish language post

Now get to it quick, before she deletes this and revokes my privileges.

I will post mine tomorrow night..hope to see others post by then

Something cool about my mom that the rest of you might not know...

My mom has a gift. A gift that I wish I had. My mom has the ability to see angels and spirits. Ever since before I was born, she has been able to see things that most people cannot see. I'm not talking about weird voodoo stuff, like speaking to the dead. I'm talking about seeing things that God means for her to see. God uses her in amazing ways. That is why my mom does what she does for a living. She has the gift of helping others, changing peoples lives, doing as God commands us to do. My mom is a special person, and I am blessed to have her as my mom.

Well, I guess all of you knew that already... :o)

I love you Mama. Thank you for being the beautiful person that you are.

XOXO

Aimee

What my sister wrote is true and amazing. Something less amazing about our Mom is that she is super clumzy. Randomly she gets what our family calls, "Ankle Cancer." This is when her ankle will bend to the left or right without her control, making her fall right where she stands. It is really funny. She could get embarresed, but she just cracks up when it happends. I love that about her. It is funny for all of us.

I would never tell a story to embarrass her nor would I ever want to set her up for to be the butt of a joke but my respect and admiration for Jamie is huge and I hope that when I am her age I will be as vivacious and cool as she is.

i thought of combining g several of the suggested categories, like s spanish haiku limmerick...and i may get to that later..(:

For now, a story:

When Jamie and I were on church staff together, we flew out from another state a candidate for associate pastor. I introduced him to Jamie, who was very kind, gracious...and kept smiling as she asked the most important question with a dead-serious "There is only one correct answer, bucko!" look:

"Do you like kids?"

..or something like that.

He didn't seem to like kids enough.

We didn't hire him.

Tony, i don't think i've met you, but love your blog...

and i agree..i would hate to embarass Jamie, especially about her age. She was part of my surprise 40th birthday party roast (last year(:...).

Since her surprise 65th is coming up, I plan to be there...oops
